Yeah, I was trying to figure out. Why put that sign up? They don't have a sign saying "Please Do Not Put Orange Juice onto Waffle Irons". It must be there because people do it. Are they making waffles-n-gravy (!?) and decide to apply the gravy to the waffle before removing it from the iron? Or are they confusing the waffle irons for some sort of frying pan that's used to heat up gravy? Or are people confusing gravy and waffle batter? None of these explanations really makes sense to me.
Now I must put marmalade onto a waffle iron. That which is not forbidden is mandatory.

DeleteMaybe they were hoping to make a gravy-waffle, like a block of solid sodium that they can lick periodically throughout the day.
